Last week, a few students and I travelled to Leasowe Farm in Radford Semele to do some tree planting. When we arrived; Finn (Preparation for Adulthood Teacher at LAMP) showed us roughly where about we'd be based as she was familiar with the area. We then started to plant our trees.
We ended up planting 6 oak saplings which will one day grow into HUGE trees! We all agreed that we would like to go back there in several years to come to marvel at the trees we once planted.
One of the things I remember most about this trip; is the feeling of very nearly falling into the canal whilst trying to fill up my watering can. VERY nerve-racking!!
Overall, I really enjoyed this trip and look forward to coming back in the future to see if I remember which tree I planted!
