On Friday 21st April; LAMP and I organised a charity gig in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity and Leamington LAMP. We chose to raise money for these two charities – Leamington LAMP because I am a pupil here; and The Brain Tumour Charity because back on my 10th birthday, I was diagnosed with a brain tumour and underwent a major 10-hour operation, on Ward 10, Bedspace 10, on the 10th of September at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The charity gig was performed by multiple bands; all of which were made up of LAMP’S students. As well as this, I held a charity raffle; with prizes ranging from an electric guitar to art prints by LAMP’S art students.
Overall, this was a very well attended event and I am extremely happy with the outcome of it all. I can’t thank everyone who helped me out enough. From Issy who was responsible with the face painting on the night; to Tim, Joe and students who took charge of the music for the evening; everyone for their donations and finally to everyone who helped me make this event possible!
What a night to remember!
